Community Health Systems, Inc. is a healthcare company. Its hospitals are general care hospitals offering a range of inpatient and outpatient medical services. These services generally include general acute care, emergency room, general and specialty surgery, critical care, internal medicine, obstetrics, diagnostic, psychiatric and rehabilitation services. In addition, some of its hospitals provide skilled nursing and home care services based on individual community needs.
